KASEI 2.0

KASEI: Omniscience and Algorithmic Self-delusion in Hypertime

Part 0: FORM FOLLOWS FICTION

A man is a god-machine that programs its own universe from within. Humans are blind to the territory, and have write access to the map.

Why not change the map, modifying the apparent territory?

Such is the principle of Form Follows Fiction -- and Fiction should at best follow Function.

All fictions begin with functions, and all forms are begat of fictions.

The largest and most important ideas in history have generally been fictions -- many of them admittedly so. Fictions beat facts on several levels:
1) we can know them.
2) they can be engineered to influence us.

There are often fictions upon fictions, mutations of fictions for a purpose entirely separate and distinct from the initial intent.

Fictions are useful. They can control the self, and control others. And they themselves can be controlled.

Why allow yourself to fall to a dead hopelessness? Hope springs eternal, especially when it is impossible to fulfill.

Humanity, do not go gently into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the Light.

"Nothing is true and everything is permissable."
- Hassan I Sabbah

"Do what Thou Wilt shall be the whole of the law."
- Aliester Crowley

Reality is thermoplastic, as maps can be redrawn by conscious effort, regardless of physical possibility of terrain alteration.

"Through the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe." But what truth was Doctor Faustus speaking of? A false truth, surely.

What other kind is there?

The world runs out of colours.

Paint it with your dreams.
